The Q4 e-tron’s pre-crash front seatbelts will tighten automatically in the event the vehicle detects an impending crash, improving protection against injury significantly. The bZ doesn’t offer pre-crash pretensioners.

Both the Q4 e-tron and bZ have child safety locks to prevent children from opening the rear doors. The Q4 e-tron has power child safety locks, allowing the driver to activate and deactivate them from the driver's seat and to know when they're engaged. The bZ’s child locks have to be individually engaged at each rear door with a manual switch. The driver can’t know the status of the locks without opening the doors and checking them.

Both the Q4 e-tron and the bZ have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, front side-impact airbags, side-impact head airbags, front seatbelt pretensioners, height adjustable front shoulder belts, four-wheel antilock brakes, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, crash mitigating brakes, post-collision automatic braking systems, daytime running lights, lane departure warning systems, blind spot warning systems, rearview cameras, rear cross-path warning and available around view monitors.

The Q4 e-tron comes with a full 4-year/50,000-mile basic warranty, which covers the entire truck and includes 24-hour roadside assistance. The bZ’s 3-year/36,000-mile basic warranty expires 1 year or 14,000 miles sooner.

The Q4 e-tron’s corrosion warranty is 7 years longer than the bZ’s (12 vs. 5 years).

Audi pays for scheduled maintenance on the Q4 e-tron for 1 year and 5000 miles longer than Toyota pays for maintenance for the bZ (3/30,000 vs. 2/25000).

The Q4 e-tron has more powerful engines than the bZ:

The Q4 45 e-tron RWD can travel longer on a full charge than the bZ XLE FWD with its standard motor (288 miles vs. 236 miles).

The Q4 e-tron has a standard locking charge port which locks and unlocks with the power locks. The bZ doesn’t have a locking charge port. A locking charge port prevents tampering and damage.

For better traction and acceleration, the Q4 e-tron has larger rear tires than the bZ (255/50R19 vs. 235/60R18).

The Q4 e-tron’s standard 235/55R19 front and 255/50R19 rear tires provide better handling because they have a lower 55 series front and 50 series rear profile (height to width ratio) that provides a stiffer sidewall than the bZ XLE’s standard 60 series tires. The Q4 e-tron 55 e-tron’s optional 235/45R21 front and 255/40R21 rear tires have a lower 45 series front and 40 series rear profile than the bZ Limited’s 50 series tires.

For better ride, handling and brake cooling the Q4 e-tron has standard 19-inch wheels. Smaller 18-inch wheels are standard on the bZ XLE. The Q4 e-tron 55 e-tron’s optional 21-inch wheels are larger than the 20-inch wheels on the bZ Limited.

The Q4 e-tron’s front to rear weight distribution is more even (50% to 50%) than the bZ’s (56% to 44%). This gives the Q4 e-tron more stable handling and braking.

The Q4 e-tron Quattro handles at .84 G’s, while the bZ Limited AWD pulls only .80 G’s of cornering force in a Car and Driver skidpad test.

The Q4 e-tron Quattro executes Motor Trend’s “Figure Eight” maneuver quicker than the bZ Limited (26.6 seconds @ .69 average G’s vs. 27.4 seconds @ .62 average G’s).

For better maneuverability, the Q4 e-tron 45’s turning circle is 6.5 feet tighter than the bZ’s (33.5 feet vs. 40 feet). The Q4 e-tron 55’s turning circle is 2.3 feet tighter than the bZ’s (37.7 feet vs. 40 feet).

The Q4 45 e-tron is 4 inches shorter than the bZ, making the Q4 e-tron easier to handle, maneuver and park in tight spaces.

The Q4 e-tron has 1.2 inches more rear headroom and 1.9 inches more rear legroom than the bZ.

A standard locking glovebox (which can’t be accessed with the valet key) keeps your small valuables safer in the Q4 e-tron. The bZ doesn’t offer locking storage for small valuables.

The Q4 e-tron has a 2200 lbs. towing capacity. The bZ has no towing capacity.

The Q4 e-tron Premium Plus offers an optional heads-up display that projects speed and driver assistance information readouts in front of the driver’s line of sight, allowing drivers to view information without diverting their eyes from the road. The bZ doesn’t offer a heads-up display.

The Q4 e-tron’s power window, power lock and power mirror switches are lit from behind, making them plainly visible and easier to operate at night. The bZ’s power window (except driver window) and power lock switches are unlit, making them difficult to find at night and operate safely.

Heated windshield washer nozzles are standard on the Q4 e-tron to prevent washer fluid and nozzles from freezing and help continue to keep the windshield clear in sub-freezing temperatures. The bZ doesn’t offer heated windshield washer nozzles.

To improve rear visibility by keeping the rear window clear, the Q4 e-tron has a standard rear wiper. The bZ doesn’t offer a rear wiper.

In poor weather, headlights can lose their effectiveness as grime builds up on their lenses. This can reduce visibility without the driver realizing. The Q4 e-tron Premium Plus offers available headlight washers to keep headlight output high. The bZ doesn’t offer headlight washers.

The Q4 e-tron’s optional rear and side view mirrors have an automatic dimming feature. These mirrors can be set to automatically darken quickly when headlights shine on them, keeping following vehicles from blinding or distracting the driver. The bZ has an automatic rear view mirror, but its side mirrors don’t dim.
